reference ground plane (RGP)
Definition:
The reference ground plane is a flat conductive surface with the same potential as the reference ground, which is used as a common reference potential to help form a reproducible parasitic capacitance with the EUT and neighboring objects. Reference test standard number: GB/T4365-2003.
NOTE 1: Conducted nuisance measurements require a reference ground plane, which serves as the reference ground for asymmetric and asymmetrical nuisance voltage measurements. Reference test standard number: CISPR 16-2-1:2014 + AMD1:2017,3.1.25.
Note 2: In some areas, the term "reference earth" is used instead of "reference place".
Industry abbreviation:
RGP
Available product recommendations:
Both the horizontal coupling plate and the reference ground plane are manufactured using metal materials and can be customized to the length, width, and thickness of the entire conductive plane.
