GB 4343.1-2018 Scope of application of the standard:
This Part applies to radio-frequency conducted and radiated nuisances generated by appliances whose primary function is realized by electric motors, switching or regulating devices, or by radio-frequency generators for induction stoves.
These appliances include: household appliances, power tools, regulating controls using semiconductor devices, motor-driven electrical and medical equipment, electric toys, vending machines and movie or slide projectors. Grid-powered and battery-powered appliances are included in the scope of this Part.
Also included in the scope of this part are.
-Separate components of the equipment referred to above, such as electric motors, switching devices such as (power or protective) relays, for which there are no firing requirements if they are not referred to in this part.
Excluded from the scope of this part are.
Equipment that explicitly sets forth all emission requirements in its RF range in other national standards.
Note 1: Examples are as follows.
- Lamps, including portable children's lamps, discharge lamps and other lighting fixtures: CISPR 15.
- Audio-visual equipment and electronic musical instruments, except toys: CISPR 13 and CISPR 20 (see 7.3.5.4.2).
- Grid communication devices, including baby monitoring systems: IEC 61000-3-8.
- Equipment for the generation and use of radiofrequency energy for heating (except induction stoves) and therapeutic purposes: CISPR11.
- Microwave ovens: CISPR11 (but note 1.3 on multifunctional equipment).
- Information technology equipment, such as home computers, personal computers, electronic photocopiers: GB/T9254-2008.
- Electronic equipment for use in motor vehicles: CISPR12.
- Radio controllers, walkie-talkies and other types of radio transmitting devices, including for use in toys.
- Arc welding equipment: CISPR 11.
- (b) Regulation controllers for semiconductor devices with a rated input current of more than 25 A per phase and equipment with such regulation controllers.
- Separate power supply.
Note 2: Toys powered by power supply systems such as motor vehicles, ships or aircraft are not included in the scope of this Part.
Note 3: Before induction cookware is removed from the scope of application of GB4824, either GB4824 or one of this part can be selected for conformity determination.
GB 4343.1-2018 Comparison GB 4343.1-2009 Standard Updates
Compared with GB4343.1-2009, the main technical content of this part is changed as follows.
(a) Appliances whose primary function is performed by a radio frequency generator for induction cookware have been added to the scope, and it has been clarified that both grid-powered appliances and battery-powered appliances are included in the scope of use of this part (see 1.1).
- Revised the definition of 3.13 Battery, added definitions of 3.24 Clock frequency, 3.25 Battery-powered apparatus, 3.26 Grid-powered apparatus (see chapter 3).
- Added Table 2b Margins for measurement of nuisance power in the frequency range 30 MHz to 300 MHz, revised Table 3 Limits for radiated nuisance in the frequency range 30 MHz to 1000 MHz and method of measurement; revised 4.1.2.3 to give the method of applying the limits for grid-supplied and battery-supplied equipment; revised 6.2.1 to re-describe the procedure for measurements on the power supply leads.
- Revised 7.2.2, re-description of operating conditions for battery-powered appliances.
- Modified 7.3.1.3 to add detailed operating conditions for coffee grinders and coffee machines.
- Added 7.3.4.15, specifying the operating conditions for rice cookers.
- Added 7.4.1.6, stating that the limits for radiated emissions apply to the 30 MHz to 1000 MHz band.
- Added 8.3.1, introducing statistical methods for tests based on generic margins for limits.
- Modified 8.3.2 by changing the statistical methodology for tests based on non-centralized distributions; - Added Chapter 9, Measurement of radiated emissions (30 MHz to 1000 MHz) and Chapter 10, Measurement uncertainties; - Added Figures 10 and 11.
- Added Appendix B Induction Cookware Requirements.
- This part uses the translation method equivalent to CISPR 14-1:2011, "Requirements for Electromagnetic Compatibility of Household Electrical Appliances, Power Tools and Similar Appliances Part 1: Emissions".
