Introduction:
SBA 9112 is an 18 GHz microwave biconical antenna authorized by Schwarzbeck, Germany and distributed by EUTTEST in Shenzhen, China. The available frequency range covers 3 GHz to 18 GHz, with a maximum input power of 10 W. The antenna is designed to meet the site validation requirements for frequencies above 1 GHz, as defined in the CISPR16-1-4:2007-02 Ed. 2.0 standard. The 9112 biconical antenna was originally designed in consideration of the global unavailability of omnidirectional or dipole type broadband antennas operating above 3 GHz.
9112 vs. SBA 9113 Combined, they cover the frequency range from 0.5 to 18 GHz with excellent antenna performance: the 9112 can be used for frequencies above 1 GHz;
The 9113 is used for frequencies below 1 GHz.
However, there are some limitations (e.g., increased antenna coefficients and VSWR, reduced symmetry). Validation of test points using commonly used microwave antennas (e.g., logarithmic or horn antennas) can lead to inadequate results because these directional gain antennas with focused directional patterns do not take into account the characteristics of the test point.
