Introduction:
The Magnetic Field Probe Model LF-U5 is a near-field probe manufactured by Langer EMV, Germany. The Magnetic Field Probe LF-U5 is specifically designed to detect magnetic fields on wide conductive paths, cables, connectors, electronic components, cables and their connectors. The probe functions like a coupling clip. The LF-U5 is a passive near-field probe. Measurements are made by placing the curved underside of the probe on the surface of the component. Field lines from other sources entering the probe directly or laterally are also detected.
The near-field probe is compact and convenient. It has a current attenuation sheath and is therefore electrically shielded. It can be connected to a spectrum analyzer or an oscilloscope with a 50 Ω input. The Magnetic Field Probe does not have a 50 Ω internal termination resistor.
