Introduction:
The FT 01 is an add-on for FM radio directivity enhancement manufactured by schwarzbeck in Germany and authorized by EUTTEST Shenzhen for sales and quotation.
The FT 01 Universal Measuring Antenna can be used to receive frequencies from 47 to 230 MHz and (300) 390 to 860 (1000) MHz by simply modifying the construction or changing the length of the telescoping element. In the 2, 3, 4, 5 - 12 channel and VHF broadcast ranges, the design of the telescopic element eliminates the need for a tape measure for adjustment. In the VHF broadcast range, measurements can be made using the basic model and additional elements. Please note that the VHF basic model is received in the opposite direction. Technical data includes E-plane and H-plane gain, antenna conversion factor, return loss, aperture angle, and directivity diagram. The tables are accompanied by antenna illustrations for easy assignment to the appropriate structures. All electrical data applies to coaxial connection points. If a crossover is used, crossover attenuation must also be considered. Electrical data applies to both horizontal and vertical polarization. Gain and antenna conversion factors are free space data.
Instructions for use:
Measurements of the adaptability can be used to monitor the electrical status of the antenna. For this purpose, the antenna should extend at least 3 meters above the vehicle roof. The check is carried out at 180 MHz, 200 MHz, 220 MHz as well as at 500 MHz, 650 MHz and 750 MHz. The Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) should be less than 2 (return loss > 10 dB). Measurements are carried out directly at the coaxial input without using a crossover. The intervals for mechanical maintenance depend on the frequency of use and the operating conditions. Under no circumstances should the antenna be left on the mast for vehicle maintenance. In winter road conditions the antenna should be exposed to as little corrosive mortar as possible. If the telescopic elements become stiff, they should be wiped with a cloth moistened with gasoline while extended, then with a dry cloth and carefully greased. Dirt at the swivel joint should also be cleaned off and new grease applied if necessary.
