Introduction:
The FESP 5139 is a radiating loop antenna manufactured by Schwarzbeck (Germany) and distributed by EUTTEST. It is designed to generate standardized magnetic field strengths in the frequency range DC-26 MHz, with the main application being the magnetic field immunity testing required by IEC 61000-4-39.
Relationship between magnetic field strength and distance:
Based on the current source principle, this radiating loop transmitting antenna generates a magnetic field of up to 360 A/m in a short period of time. The strength of the generated magnetic field is proportional to the coil current. The use of our 50 mm accessory allows the EMC tester to precisely position and space the coil and EUT surfaces 50 mm apart. Using this accessory allows the highest field strength levels to be achieved and allows for greater test repeatability, if other spacing distances are required, please contact us for more information and we will help you to provide some scaling between the coil current and the magnetic field strength (e.g. 1 A coil current = 20 A/m field strength).
