Introduction:
The miniature surface current probe model F-96-1 is manufactured by the FCC in the U.S.A. It is a newer version of the F-96, which can quickly test the current on flat or curved surfaces of PCBs and other products, interconnecting cables, and flying wires. Because this probe is very sensitive to the surface current of printed circuit board PCBs, it can be connected to a spectrometer and then quickly measure the surface current on the PCB.
The principle of this probe is to obtain the near-field magnetic field around the PCB alignment, so it needs to be orthogonal to the wire to get the maximum value, including the 10MHz-400MHz high-frequency emission current on the PCB.
- Application 1: Measuring wires:The leads will be tested in a slot in the lower part of the probe, or the PCB alignment can be placed parallel to the slot.
- Application 2: Measuring surfaces:Map a surface by changing the direction of the probe to obtain the source of maximum interference and then repeat the measurement at the next location.
