Introduction:
The ETS 3140B is a log-periodic hybrid antenna manufactured by ETS-Lindgren in the U.S. and distributed by EUTTEST in Shenzhen, China. The ETS 3140B is one of the BiConiLog series of hybrid antennas designed for broadband EMC radiated immunity (RI) measurements. The BiConiLog Model ETS 3140B features a patented T-shaped bowtie element design that significantly improves low-frequency performance over conventional biconical or other hybrid antennas. When setting up the Model ETS 3140B, the T-shaped bowtie element is easily installed/disassembled with a hand-tightened knob. Once assembled, the antenna will be self-supporting when the balun end is placed down on a ground plane. A hard powder coating protects the antenna.
ETS Type 3140B BiConiLog is not suitable for RE (radiated emission) measurements. For RE applications, ETS-Lindgren recommends the 3142E Biconilog.
