What is the DDA55?

The DDA55 is the replacement of the discontinued CL55C by the Italian AFJ-instrument Niko Tester. The DDA55 complies with the test standards GB4343.1 and CISPR 14-1, which describes how to measure the electromagnetic radiation generated by household appliances and portable hand tools, including power cables. The standard describes the phenomenon of discontinuous interference (intermittent interference) generated by household appliances and portable hand tools, including power cables, which is commonly referred to as "clicking". "Niko" is defined as interference with a duration of less than 200ms and an interval of more than 200ms between two interferences. All embedded control devices, electronic switches, temperature-controlled heat generating devices, and commonly used home appliances as well as industrial lighting equipment generate intermittent interference emissions with different amplitudes and repetition rates from the power cord. These interferences are usually caused by high interference intensity, but low repetition rate. A pulse-like test burst is visible on the clicking receiver.

Product features of the DDA55 are described:

In the standard CISPR14-1 and CISPR16-1-1, the process of determining nicking sound is very complex, and it is very difficult to determine whether nicking sound meets the standard requirements by manual labor, so it is necessary to meet the requirements of the standard to complete the test instead of manual testing of the equipment and software, and the following introduction of the DDA55 of the AFJ-INSTUMENT is one such device.

Due to the "clicking sound" interference clearly exceeds the EMI test standards required in the conducted emission limits, and the interference duration is very short, CISPR14-1 for the interference of such products to develop test standards, such as the IEC61000-6-3 product standards for residential and lighting limits, industrial standards IEC61000-6-4, EN55103 for professional video/audio products limit test standards, all require these products need to be tested for a long time, each product single-phase test requires a long time, and each product single-phase test requires a long time. For example, IEC61000-6-3 for residential and lighting, IEC61000-6-4 for industrial, and EN55103 for professional video/audio products require long testing times, with single-phase testing of each product taking several hours to complete. The DDA55 Niko Analyzer, designed by AFJ-instrument, Italy, contains four receiver channels that can be tested synchronously, and each fixed receiver channel can be tested independently, thus saving a lot of testing time.

DDA55 Auto Receiver Attenuation Setup Chart

DDA55 has four parallel independent channels, channel fixed frequency (150kHz, 500kHz, 1.4MHz, 30MHz), each test channel can perform "Peak and Quasi-Peak" detector test, the test methodology and test equipment is fully compliant with the requirements of CISPR16-1-1 standard, quasi-peak detector design based on the CISPR 14-1 standard test, integrated oscilloscope (time domain measurement) function, the system also provides a CISPR16-1-1 standard compliant Peak Detector. Peak detector design according to CISPR 14-1 standards for testing, integrated oscilloscope (time domain measurement) function, the system also provides CISPR16-1-1 standards in line with the requirements of the four, a single, any number of interfering pulse generator for calibration, if you need to do the Japanese VCCI radiation standards, you can ask euttest to provide 500kHz / 550kHz If the Japanese VCCI radiation standard is required, euttest can be asked to provide the 500kHz/550kHz option - Fixed Frequency RF Receiver Module to complete the test.

The CL55C is an early AFJ-INSTRUMENT test equipment, now discontinued, the replacement product is the DDA55, the test interface is more beautiful and more clear test process, if you are interested in the DDA55, you can contact EUTTEST for more information.
