Introduction:
CMAD 1614 is a common mode decoupling clamp manufactured by Schwarzbeck, Germany and authorized to be distributed by EUTTEST Shenzhen. It can be used on coaxial cables and unshielded cable bundles to suppress unwanted common mode currents (also known as braid currents). As these unwanted common-mode currents are often a cause of poor measurement repeatability, the new CISPR 16-1-4 standard recommends the use of common-mode decoupling pliers to suppress common-mode currents on conductors, and each common-mode absorbing device is supplied with a calibration certificate of individual measurements made at the factory.
Compositional structure:
Common Mode Decoupling Clamp The CMAD1614 consists of a number of precision cut ferrite half toroids embedded in a gray plastic housing. Unique floating annular bearings ensure a perfect fit to the ferrite surface. Two quick locks on both sides of the decoupling vise allow the fixture to be opened and closed in seconds. Inside the decoupler, cable bundles or coaxial cables up to 26 mm diameter can be tested without removing connectors or interrupting any circuitry of the DUT, which is required by standard to be energized. The Common Mode Decoupling Clamp can be used in conjunction with the Power Absorption Clamp MDS 21C.
