Introduction:
The Current Probe Calibration Fixture CA 9608 is used for measuring current clamp sensors with frequencies up to 500 MHz. Conforms to CISPR 16-1-2, MIL-STD-461D or ISO 11452-4 for calibration metrology testing of current probes such as SW 9605, SW 9606, R&S EZ-17, ESV-Z1, FCC, Prodyn IT-050-1, and others.
Other test applications:
The CA 9608 can also be used to characterize ferrite materials (e.g. clamped ferrite, toroids, sleeves) or any other passive interference suppression components as described in CISPR 17. In order to calibrate current transformers, additional equipment, coaxial termination resistors and e.g. coaxial termination resistors, a network analyzer, a spectrum analyzer with trace generator or a signal generator with receiver are required. The calibration fixture is equipped with two N-female connectors, each with a high-quality 4 mm banana plug for connection to the inner conductor of the fixture. The fixture is fitted with knurled head screws on both sides for quick opening without the need for any tools, which is particularly useful for "straight-through" current transformers that cannot be clamped or opened, and the height of the inner conductor is variable, which provides a wide range of possible current transformer sizes up to a diameter of 86 mm, which can be calibrated using a single adapter. Longer inner conductors are available on request to calibrate current transformers up to 90 mm wide.
